A Light Prayer In The Shadows

Edit: Thank you all for the kind comments but unfortunately, my family fights a lot and they certainly did over my cousin’s death but I am hoping that we mend eventually.

Things that have been going on with me…

  • Finally got a new haircut and it is even length in the front and back, so it can grow properly; As I was growing out a mullet and it was so nasty but now, I am relieved that my hair is back to shape if a bit shorter, which I can live with!
  • A beautiful Blue Jay feather I found one day, though I haven’s seen a Blue Jay yet. Blah.
  • But I have seen hawks and caught them flying high and low above my place, and they are so majestic, I tell you! You can’t mistake them for any other bird by how big they are. Though in fact we have a nesting pair in one of the trees around us and it’s gorgeous to see these hawks in motion.
  • My husband’s and I’s best friend J went to China to visit his girlfriend and brought back some beautiful souvenirs which include a bookmark and a wooden cup, which is so new to me. I quite love them and was surprised by this generosity of him but I always enjoyed hanging out with him. He is a great guy and someone I am happy that my husband met him at his job. Sometimes it is worth having love to push you forward as I am motivation for my husband to do better and achieve the highest point to reach those stars.
  • My younger brother of 10 years turns 19th on the 21st of Jan. I am so happy but missing him greatly while he is gone with the Marine Reserves.
  • Started playing 999 and OMG, it is insane! Same creators of Danganronpa, comes the Nonary Game collection (minus the 3rd one) on PS4.
  • You are basically trapped on a ship with 9 people and have 9 hours with 9 doors to go through in order to escape, and it full of puzzles and is a visual novel like Danganronpa, but again, blood and violence is shown, so it isn’t for the faint of heart. I already like it for the different style and tone of the game. It is an Escape Room in video game format.
  • Dealing with the fact that I have Atopic Dermatitis which is basically Ezcema
  • Atopic dermatitis (Eczema) is a condition that makes your skin red and itchy. It’s common in children but can occur at any age. Atopic dermatitis is long lasting (chronic) and tends to flare periodically. It may be accompanied by asthma or hay fever.

Eczema does suck, it runs in my family and I get it on my face and neck at times. The roughest time it winter when the heater is running and making my sensitive skin all mad. I feel for you on that.
A lot of your blog entries are now old news for me, hehe. Since I read everything you post on facebook. I’m glad we became facebook buddies. ♥
P.S. That picture of your is adorable ♥

I must admit, I like your new hair cut! Like you, I too have yet to see a blue Jay up close. Also like you, I love Hawks, they have a distinct sound and are so majestic indeed. However, over where I live they’re constantly being attacked by two crows (at least by two crows). Every time, I see this happening, I think what bullies those crows are, which they are. I heard (I don’t know how 100% accurate this really is), but I heard that crows can pick up your sent and track you down if they find you an annoyance to them or what have you. Now, I know that’s true for dogs as they can pick up any kind of scent from humans, but for crows? It might be true as they’re pretty damn smart.

Anyways, that was really nice of your guys’ friend J to bring you back something from another country. Believe it or not, in the early 2000s, I actually took a Chinese class, and half the Chinese population that found out I was taking Chinese all said the same “Oh you won’t pass, it’s a hard language.” I simply replied “Watch me pass.” I sure as hell made sure that I passed for myself and to prove that a white person can learn another person’s language with the right motivation to do so. In fact, I almost received an A. I was just a few points away from earning an A in that Chinese 1 class. I received a high B+. Needless to say, when those people who doubted me found out I had passed they apologized and said they’d never doubt me again. :).

So, you can do anything if you put your mind to it. Honestly, I read something where your doctor thinks you shouldn’t have children due to the fact that mental illness plays a key factor in your genetics? Honestly, that pissed me off when I read that. Doesn’t this doctor know that yes it’s embedded in the gene line but it can always skip a generation. So if you and Jose were to have children, it might skip your child’s generation because chances are, it might inherit whatever gene Jose has more so than what genes you have. It’s dominance. That doctor really needs to study Biology again. If for some reason you still can’t have children, have you ever considered in adoption?

That’s so lovely of your friend to bring you something back from China. I love the cup, it’s so pretty!

999 sounds like a lot of fun. I love puzzle games, and that format sounds fantastic.

Hope you’re doing okay, Michelle.

Ohhh I love your haircut. My goal is to one day be able to have one like it… I’m progressively getting it shorter and shorter… Hahaha. ONE DAY!
The cup is really cute too. Wooden cups; I don’t think I have any of those! I’d imagine it’s nice and light.
Sucks that you got the dermatitis diagnosis. I have some patches of skin that are prone to dermatitis, but they come and go (and seems triggered by stress… figures). My doctors told me that all I can do is to start putting Cetaphil on them when they start so they don’t expand (when I leave them to do whatever they want, they start expanding…. Which is kind of weird to think about.).

As always, Michelle, you’re gorgeous. I haven’t had a haircut in AGES. Ugh. I really need to get one.

Okay, I know your pic was about your hair but I love your glasses! They’re so fun. I always tend to go with just plain glasses because I’m worried they won’t match anything otherwise, but one of these days I’m going to get a fun pair, I’m determined.

That blue jay feather is beautiful. I love colorful birds like that. So striking! Hopefully you’ll get to see the actual bird soon!

And boo to atopic dermatitis. I never realized how frustrating and painful eczema could be until I met my husband. Whenever it flares up for him it’s so stressful. I hope you’re managing it okay <3
