Birthday Shenanigans

It’s been awhile since my last update but…

I finally went back to work this last Wednesday and I still remembered a lot of things, but alas, I got a bit into trouble because you can’t void items or transactions much even if the customer wants it, which is frankly ridiculous. I don’t have to really work most of the week and I got paid during the weeks I was out, so that was fine with me. I missed work then didn’t because it meant spending time at home and figuring out how to spend time with Marley, plus working on me through this time. I mean that work is fine and I’ll be back at next week with a full schedule, alas, I don’t think I’ll do it forever but for now, I like my job and my coworkers, up and down the hierarchy.

Plus, next Thursday, my job is going to give us bonus pay for working through certain months and I’ll sure to get a bit of something which is great, because at my last job, I got two bonuses and it was great! Though know that I am back at work, knowing that it’s more than just a productive time for me as it also means making money because our rent jumped from 900 to 1000 in just one year under new management. It’s ridiculous honestly and the fact that we have three stadiums here is bullshit, honestly and it raises the cost of living on those that stay here. I would move but our credit is shit (thanks to me and my impulsive spending and in general) and I cannot afford a pet deposit for my ESA, Marley.

Thanksgiving was fine and I reconnected with my parents but they are reaching out since they are getting older but I’m not doing jack shit for them. They abused and hurt me with their “love” if I can call it that. I don’t intend to celebrate or see them anytime soon. It’s just that my younger brother doesn’t remember living my mom and he’s always been close to our dad because he’s a boy and my dad treasures that flawed and problematic nonsense that boys are always superior to girls. Just his culture but it’s still wrong and hurtful to someone like me.

My aunt turned 50!

My beautiful aunt~! Happy birthday!

I am glad to hear you’re back to work. I know what you mean about both missing and not missing being at work, especially when you’re still being paid. I was off on sick leave a few times. It’s nice that they are giving you a bonus pay, my husbands work is doing the same thing. It’ll be nice before Christmas. Happy Birthday to your Aunt!

Happy belated birthday to your aunt.

And speaking from experience, enjoy all the time you can get off work with no regrets. Take care of yourself first, then worry about the job later. 🙂

A happy birthday to your aunt! Shame about the rent, but I hope otherwise you’re doing okay.
