Like a Surgeon
So, I’ve been gone for awhile, and like before, I’ll update you all in what my life has been…enjoy what I have to offer.
So, it happened: I got my bariatric surgery and I got the sleeve which goes around my stomach and makes it smaller; but I won’t lie, I’ve had some fear on the whole surgery and when it came to the morning of it, I was nervous but in the end, the surgery was fine and waking up from the anesthesia was a bit difficult, but in the end, everyone was kind including the nurses and staff in general, but I stayed one night and now….

It’s been 1 week since I’ve been home and recovering, but the first two days after the surgery was me getting used to knowing how my stomach worked and how to listen/feel it when it got full and being a clear liquid diet which was agonizing but the hardest aspect is just healing and getting accustomed to the new diet that I have to be in and get the nutrients-protein and water in order to heal and lose the weight.
It isn’t easy and I’ve had moments where my depression has deepened but, Jose, my husband is my rock and has kept me strong through all this ordeal as I’ve never had surgery before and this has been an experience, and everyone, including, my mom has been so kind to me even visiting when I was leaving the hospital. I’m doing well–and it will take 8 week fully until I heal, but for now, I have to keep on this liquid diet for another week until I see the surgeon then go on his word before moving on to soft foods etc;
I get through this with all the support and love from not only my friends (irl and online) but my family too.

I’m glad you’re feeling much better now. 🙂 I wish you well in your recovery. 🙂
Oh wow. Glad it went well, and hope it helps you! I would of been nervous too. I like how you brought a plush doggy with you! Cute!
